Safety is an important issue for everyone, whether it be on the street, at work or even at home.

With Government figures continually showing an increase in crime and violence, people are becoming more concerned about Personal Safety.

At TAYLOR-MADE FITNESS we offer SELF DEFENCE courses that teach simple and effective techniques, designed to make you feel more self confident and capable in a potential situation.

TAYLOR-MADE SELF DEFENCE emphasises the importance of AWARENESS and AVOIDANCE and teaches ways to recognise and avoid trouble before it occurs.

What do our students learn?

  • How to instill Self Defence Confidence in yourself

  • Tactical communication skills (How to talk your way out of trouble)
  • Body Positioning/ Stances
  • Avoidance Techniques
  • Legislation/ How the law affects you
  • How to prevent getting into Self Defence situations
  • Escaping holds from the front and the rear
  • How and where to strike when you can’t escape
  • Defences against prone attacks (seated and lying)
  • Defences against Headlocks
  • Defences against kicks and punches
